A story that weaves human solidarity together with a grave incident has been made public by the page “Evente_a_Kamëz”. It concerns 28-year-old Erjon Vishkulli, who just one day earlier had visited Fadil, a protester facing economic hardship.
During the visit, Erjon had helped Fadil in a modest way, showing him solidarity and humanity. But today the young man has been wounded in the eye by a rubber bullet during violent clashes between police and protesters in Tiranë.
After being wounded, the 28-year-old was taken to hospital, and it is feared he has lost the sight in his left eye. Erjon Vishkulli, known for his patriotism and courage, is also a member of the red-and-black supporters’ group “Tifozat Kuq e Zi”.
“Yesterday Erjon came and met Fadil, which showed us that there are still people with great souls, pure hearts and a generosity that words cannot describe. We pray for you today, Erjon. We hope your generosity will move God to turn His eyes towards you,” writes “Evente_a_Kamëz”.
