A Turkish military aircraft was reported to have landed at Rinas Airport at noon today.
Two water trucks were seen being unloaded from the aircraft, apparently to be used to put down the 7-day protest by students and young people in Tiranë.
Before publishing this story, the Syri newsroom formally contacted the Turkish embassy in Tiranë, but some four hours later it had still not received a response.
Flight radar data also confirms this military aircraft’s route.
The help from Turkish President Erdogan to Prime Minister Edi Rama comes at a time when, after many hours and days of protest, the Albanian police were finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the protests.
