TIRANË – The protest against Edi Rama’s government continues to keep the political situation in the capital tense, as citizens and students demand the prime minister’s departure.

After more than 8 hours in the square, turnout at the protest is growing, with calls for Rama’s resignation remaining at the heart of the civic revolt.

The protest movement is seeing growing mobilisation, as students have joined citizens in opposing the government. The protests of recent days have also been marked by clashes with police and tensions on the streets of Tiranë.

The demand for the prime minister’s resignation is becoming the protesters’ main message, as they call for political change and accountability from the government.

As the protest continues, it remains to be seen whether pressure from citizens will bring new reactions from the Prime Minister’s Office.
